Srijita has a B.Sc in Psychology and M.Sc in Clinical Psychology from the University of Calcutta and has completed her M.Phil in Clinical Psychology from The Institute of Psychiatry (Centre of Excellence, registered by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI)) and attached to the SSKM hospital, one of the foremost Government hospitals in Kolkata.
Srijita works as a Clinical Psycologist at The mind research Foundation and has intense experience of more than two years of experience in conducting comprehensive psychometric tests, including projective tests and personality assessments of clients with various mental disorders including Depression, anxiety disorders, psychosis, substance dependence and Borderline Personality Disorder. She is also experienced in conducting Behavior therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy on children as well as adults, which are suited to the needs of the clients. Her domain of Expertise and skills include Clinical Psychology, General Psychology, Psychological Assessment, Psychometrics, Neuropsychological Assessment, Cognitive Rehabilitation, Counseling Psychology and Psychotherapy.
A seasoned professional she has experience in end to end mental health counseling including, psychological assessments- both IQ assessments and comprehensive psychometric tests as well as psychotherapy. Being a part of one of the top registered government hospitals in Kolkata, she has a chance to conduct psychometric evaluation and therapies on clients suffering from a variety of mind related disorders. Some of the disorders that she has experience in treating include Schizophrenia, Mood Disorders such as Depression and Bipolar Affective Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, different Personality Disorders as well as childhood disorders such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorders, etc. Furthermore, she has in depth theoretical knowledge of Psychoanalysis, Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy, Logotherapy, Existential therapy, Client centered therapy, Family and marital therapy and different Mindfulness Based therapies such as mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Mindfulness based Cognitive Therapy, Cognitive Analytical Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
